I-95, Route 8/25 Stolen Car Chase Starts After Suspect Nearly Hits Cop

At about 11:45 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, officers were sent to a call regarding a suspicious car off of Madison Avenue in Bridgeport. When they approached the car, it took off on them, nearly striking an officer, according to Bridgeport Police.

Bridgeport Police then engaged in the pursuit, eventually going southbound on Route 8/25 to northbound I-95.

The pursuit was called off at the Bridgeport town line.

Stratford Police reported they located the car a short time later on Broadbridge Avenue near Barnum Avenue.

Bridgeport Police went to assist in trying to locate the suspects with the Stratford K-9, but were unsuccessful.

The car was recovered and brought back to Bridgeport Police headquarters.
